"The Grouchy Ladybug"
I like the idea of “The Grouchy Ladybug” lesson plan by Kyelea Coring, because it seems pretty simple and to the point for young children and it works on various subjects at one time. With this lesson, students work on connecting print to pictures as they follow the story of “The Grouchy Lady Bug” by Eric Carle, they learn to tell time to the hour and get to use response clocks to show specific times. They also work on sentence writing as well as spelling and punctuation within their writing.

Geometrical Shapes
I really like the idea of this lesson plan on geometrical shapes because it incorporates a fun children’s book and hands-on experimenting with shapes. Roz O’Dell incorporates the children’s book “The Greedy Triangle” by Marilyn Burns into this lesson plan. It’s a simple lesson plan and can be fun for students in the third or fourth grades as they are learning of all the different geometrical shapes.
